ALIVE (The World of ORIGIN) - Nozomu and Soushi (and Ren's) Conversation
The reason for being lost was because “I had too much fun”
Nozomu is living through all sorts of “lives.”
In a “world” that is born with a “familiar,” nothing is the same.
There is something like the “universe,” where stars and space keep spreading out, without a given shape, that only the concept of it is spreading, and darkness and light continue to collide in an eternal chaos.
Only the number of “worlds” that have “familiars” have that way of life, but it’s still a lot.
Nozomu’s “world” is the type to have a universe that spreads out. In the many stars that float inside of it, sometimes he would be a god’s apprentice, sometimes a pirate, and even other times it was a mysterious four-legged beast.
When he descended and lived upon a “world,” Nozomu had no memory of ORIGIN.
Even so, whatever world he lived in, Nozomu acted like Nozomu: bright and energetic, full of excitement.
Idling about while feeling good and living with all he had, surrounded by fun friends.
In the sense of ORIGIN’s world, a “life” takes up a moment so short that it doesn’t even last the blink of an eye, but what’s gained there is incredible.
Even if you’re the very last person alive.
Even if your dreams are torn apart, and you can barely breathe anymore from misfortune.
Nozomu thinks that there’s something that can’t be obtained just by staying in ORIGIN: a feeling that rises in your chest when your “life” ends..
It’s sparkling, exciting, making hearts squeeze…… It’s like a jewel, shining like a star, and, above all, just an amazing treasure.
It was something so wonderful that it couldn’t be expressed with just words…… Because it was a treasure, Nozomu didn’t want it all for himself if it was possible: he wanted to show it to Ren, too.
Ren was the angel who got along best with Nozomu, and he was smart, elegant, and incredibly kind.
Because he was kind, he was afraid of descending on a “world,” (“Familiars” of that sort are very frequent. They’re afraid of experiencing “death.”) so it seemed he had never descended upon a “world” ever before.
Basically, Ren felt that treasure, but couldn’t see it…… Because of that, it was Nozomu’s turn. Nozomu wanted to share the treasure with Ren.
That’s why, today, he descended upon a “world.”
…… Even if he forgets again and again about the truth of ORIGIN and doesn’t come back (the so-called being “lost,” that’s what it is.)
“Geez, how many times has it been already……. You’re, what was it? An idiot. Are you an idiot?”
“Every single time, every single time, I’m so sorr—————y!!! Soushi-paisen! So cool! So handsome!!”
“Are you dumb?”
Not just anyone can descend in other “worlds” of “familiars.”
I follow a different rule (way of the world) that doesn’t fit with anyone other than myself, so it’s a really skilled and gutsy move.
The one who’d grabbed me by the scruff of my neck was a taller, handsome devil… Soushi-senpai’s been picking me up from the “worlds” I descend into. He’s got a bad mouth, but he’s really good at taking care of others, a nice person.
Seeing me laugh with an “ehehe,” he sighed, “Hah……” and ruffled my head, tousling my hair.
“Well, if you’re safe that’s good enough.”
“Okay—. Hehe……”
“......So? What kind of ‘life’ did you live this time?”
“Huh? You’re going to listen to me!?”
“I’ll listen along with Ren. As long as that’s the case, okay?”
“Just what I’d expect of Paisen! Looks like you got it!!”
Hey, you know?
There were friends just like Ren and Senpai there.
And people like Sora and Mori-senpai.
We were playing music together.
We were standing on a seriously cool stage.
Our fans were cheering for us, calling our names, and I was waving at them……
I spent that time having so, so, so much fun.
"I think I might've gotten lost because I had too much fun."
"Are you dumb?"
