Q2. The setting of this story “Taikyoku Denki” contains “The weakest, Jinzoku,” and “The strongest, Gokuzoku,” who cannot act during the day unless they contract with a Jinzoku. If you chose to be one, which one would you like to be? Please explain why as well.

Q1 – “As an actor, it was the first time I’ve acted out Kakeru this much, so it was a strange sensation. ‘Kakeru, you’ve gotten so much better at acting...!’ I felt that sort of incredible feeling of parental affection. (laughs) But at the same time, I thought, ‘As always, he’s in this energetic kid position.’ He’s an adorable guy.”

 

Q2 – “The strongest, the Gokuzoku. I’d be able to do anything if I had that much power! I’d like to have a life that’s different from the one I have now. Like Kakeru and the gang, I’d find a Jinzoku whose wavelength matches mine and spend a happy contract with them. Even if I’m unable to find a partner to contract with... well, that’s that, and I’ll be fine leisurely enjoying my lifestyle during the nighttime. (laughs)”

 

Q3 – “Yet another work where you can immerse yourself in the world of ‘Tsukiuta.’ in a new way has been created! I had lots of fun acting as him with this Chinese-themed atmosphere. It’s been a quick ten years since I met Kakeru! Thanks to all your help, it’s become a long-loved series. Thank you all so much. From now on, I hope you’ll watch over them, who continue to grow alongside us!”

 

January – Role of Mutsuki Hajime

Q1 – “I’ve been in the care of ‘Tsukiuta.’ for a long time now, but this work is yet another new development, or more like a development that differs from the main story’s timeline. With things turning out like this, I can’t help but feel that anything’s possible at this point. Within it all, the characters have not deviated from themselves – they’ve gotten some fantasy-esque elements added to them, so I enjoyed myself as I acted out my character.”

 

Q2 – “I’d like to be a Jinzoku. I don’t particularly desire such external strength in the first place, so I’d prefer to be working throughout the day. I’m a human now, so I want to stay human.”

 

Q3 – “I believe that an incredibly voluminous work, full of new developments, has been completed with this. I think it’s worth listening to, so I hope you enjoy it.”

 

February – Role of Kisaragi Koi

Q1 – “It’s been quite a while since I last recorded for him, so it made me nervous about whether I could pull it off well! They’d grown ever since I first met them, and there were some fantasy elements added in. With it all, I struggled a good deal, but I hope you enjoy it!”

 

Q2 – “[The strongest, Gokuzoku] would be nice! Because Jinzoku have to live by cooperating with others, right...? That’s the thing I’m worst at doing. Plus, I don’t hate the nighttime. (laughs)”

 

Q3 – “It’s been a long time since I did a voice drama for this! With the boys having grown? In it as well, I think it’s become a work that has a new way to enjoy the series! Please look forward to it!”

 

March – Role of Yayoi Haru

Q1 – “The atmosphere differed from the usual, so it felt refreshing. The sense of distance among Haru and the others, especially between Haru and Hajime, gradually changed over the course of events since the start. Eventually, those emotions showed their typical Haru-ness, so I thought that Haru really is who he is in the end.”

 

Q2 – “I want to be free, so I’d like to be a Jinzoku. It’s fine if I’m weak, as long as my heart is strong!”

 

Q3 – “I believe it’ll be a story where you can enjoy an environment and characters distinct from the usual ‘Tsukiuta.’ I hope you can have fun with this worldview that is similar, yet conflicts somehow, with the setting that the stage cast built. I hope you continue to support the stage, the anime series, the songs, and drama CDs – all of ‘Tsukiuta.’ from now on.”

 

April – Role of Uduki Arata

Q1 – “This made me realize that the stories depicting the setting of ‘Tsukiuta.’s agency are infinite in number. You could make so many types and genres of story scripts that allow those talents to perform in.”

 

Q2 – “It feels like living as a regular human, rather than either of those two, would be easier to live as. I don’t feel particularly inconvenienced in the way I’m living right now, so I don’t want to become either species.”

 

Q3 – “Despite his ‘jiangshi’-like visuals, I was able to act him out with a feeling of nostalgia. Even if a different type of story is taking place, the characters’ deference in seniorities or relationships don’t change. That’s why, to those who have been watching ‘Tsukiuta.’ for a long time now, this series can make for a comforting human relationship.”

 

May – Role of Satsuki Aoi

Q1 – “I was happy to act as Aoi-kun after a long time. They age as we do in reality, so even as Aoi-kun’s headed into his late twenties, I felt deeply emotional thinking I’d already spent ten years with Aoi-kun. Even in a fantasy world, everyone’s lively and energetic, so it was very fun.”

 

Q2 – “I’ll become the strongest, the Gokuzoku, to open up a delivery service that brings Aoi-kun’s delicious meals to everyone with the fastest legs in the world. I’d procure ingredients in bulk and help expand the shop. Eating food in the restaurants is good too, but eating restaurant food at home has a different sensation from the usual. Wouldn’t it be rather nice?”

 

Q3 – “There were some parts I felt to be brand-new, like the roles, atmosphere, and battles, that differed from the usual characters. However, they had conversations that reminded me of the usual, so I hope you enjoy it. Strawberry milk makes for yet another adorable point to pay attention to in this story.”

June – Role of Minaduki Rui

Aoi Shouta

 

Q1 – “The theme is the difference between the different species of Jinzoku and Gokuzoku. I thought it to be a story that packed in lots of awareness that the juniors think of each other and help each other out, overcoming their existence as different species. This story has Rui in scenes that he hasn’t had much opportunity to work in, such as using spells in battle. Since it’s a rare opportunity, I thought it’d be nice to coolly shout it out, but considering who Rui is, I imagined that he would surely unleash those spells quietly and a bit calmly. While imagining that, I acted him out. It was very fun.”

 

Q2 – “Hmm... I don’t need to be strong, so I guess Jinzoku. I’m involved in many works where the overall theme is gaining strength or power will cause some sort of conflict to happen. Of course, I think it all depends on how that power is used, but since I’m bad at dealing with conflict, I’d like to peacefully and quietly live my life. If I hadn’t chosen the path of becoming a voice actor and singer, I’m sure I would’ve been living quietly in a place where I wouldn’t be standing out.”

 

Q3 – “Your beloved boys are coming back again. You’ll be able to see a brand new side of them which is like a breath of fresh air. On top of that, I believe the parts you enjoy, such as this part, or that, are surely packed into it, so please cheer on their activities in the new world. Please enjoy it from beginning to end.”

Q1 – “I came in contact with lots of the charm of Fuduki Kai who’s more like an action film actor, and not the idol Fuduki Kai! It was a fulfilling recording.”

 

Q2 – “I’d prefer [the weakest, Jinzoku]. I’d like to live a modest and healthy life during the daytime, working together with everyone! I’m bad at working at night, so...”

 

Q3 – “I’m glad I get to meet the guys from ‘Tsukiuta.’ after so long! Please enjoy it while imagining his cool action scenes as a character from ‘Taikyoku Denki’!”

 

August – Role of Haduki You

Q1 – “The worldview is very grandiose this time again. I was surprised that You existed as a Gokuzoku, but I tried to express him while focusing on his core identity.”

 

Q2 – “I’ve gone almost forty years as a human already, so please let me stay as a Jinzoku, which is close enough. I wonder what ‘the strongest’ even is. Not like I want to become one. (laughs)”

 

Q3 – “It’s a work packed with the bonds of different species.

September – Role of Nagatsuki Yoru

Q1 – “It’s been a long time since a story where all twelve of them are gathered together, so I’d been looking forward to it even before recording. Even though it had been a while, Yoru-kun slid right out of me naturally, as if he was a part of my body. I was glad to re-confirm such a perception. I strongly get the impression that he’s always with You, but there were many scenes where he’s with Aoi this time, which hadn’t taken place in a long while, which was impactful for me. This time is a Chinese-styled fiction, a fantasy story. I felt grateful that even after ten years, I can still see new things from them by creating a new story of another world through the characters.”

 

Q2 – “I think that, personality-wise, being a Gokuzoku would fit more. Of course, I did think that ‘In the end, being a human is best,’ through acting as Yoru-kun and seeing the Jinzoku, but I feel as if my nature suits a Gokuzoku lifestyle more. It’s not as if I want to settle things through brute force or that I hate Jinzoku but I’m sure I’d like to accompany the Jinzoku from a stance similar to Arata’s.”

 

Q3 – “I believe that this will be a product worth listening to for new fans. And for those who are familiar with it, you’ll be able to feel a new charm from these twelve. I’ve been acting as Yoru-kun ever since he and the others were in high school. So, you could use this as an impetus to look back on my past in the series and then return to the present. I think the true pleasure of this series is that you can enjoy the growth and changes made throughout... I hope you won’t say that I’ve declined in quality. (laughs) Please do look forward to it.”

 

October – Role of Kannaduki Iku

Q1 – “When I was wondering if they would be completely different because they’re in another world, the individual characters’ conversations and relationships were influenced by the usual. I was able to have fun while acting, as there were new elements alongside the ones that were present until now. Maybe you could say that there’s a side to them that feels reassuring to watch. There were a lot of scenes with a peaceful atmosphere, so a battle where lives are on the line really put them in a huge crisis! And the ones being affected by this crisis are Hajime-san and Shun-san, which made a deep impression on me.”

 

Q2 – “I think Jinzoku. I don’t really have that much of a desire to become ‘the strongest’ or anything, so. (laughs) I think it’d be nice to peacefully live a quiet life as a Jinzoku, without having to be too showy.”

 

Q3 – “I’m glad I can deliver something ‘Tsukiuta.’-related for the first time in a long while. I think it’s a rather voluminous adventure log and epic retelling of a fantasy, so it’d be nice if you could thoroughly listen to it and delve deeply into this world. Also, ‘momoman’ [peach bun] is very difficult to pronounce, so please do give it a try for yourselves. (laughs)”

 

November – Role of Shimotsuki Shun

Kimura Ryohei

 

Q1 – “This is a common ‘Tsukiuta.’ cliché, but the fact that they’re able to make these spinoffs... these parallel world stories are possible because of the preexisting condition that the characters’ settings are already thoroughly set in place. However, I believe that part of this is that the fans are able to enjoy this exactly because they understand the characters so well. I think that’s proof that the series has grown so well.”

 

Q2 – “Definitely Jinzoku. I want to walk freely under the sun, and if I want to exchange a partner-like contract with another, it’s not guaranteed that they’re going to be a Jinzoku. If my partner’s also a Gokuzoku, then neither of us could sunbathe, so... (laughs)”

 

Q3 – “It’s an interesting parallel world which I dare say you’re all looking forward to. I was thinking about how this time is a battle story, but Shun would win if he showed up in battle? But that part of the story was skillfully handled, and the individual characters were given a cool scene to show off in this story, so I do hope you’ll expect great things from this.”

 

Role of Doutaku

Q1 – “I recorded alone, so it was a shame that I couldn’t interact with the other appearing characters. Still, it was easy for me to do, as he was a bona-fide “villain” as a villain is meant to be. I had fun portraying him.”

 

Q2 – “I wouldn’t like to be either. (laughs) I’d like to be a normal human, who’s still strong.”
