Sports Festival 3 - Chapter 8
Jan. 27th, 2018 05:36 pmMidori: It's depressing...... I wanna die......
Tsukasa: You shouldn't sigh, Takamine-kun. Our Classes may be different, but we should work our utmost as members of the same white team♪
Midori: Eh~. I don't wanna work hard... I wanna rest...
I got tired during the bread-eating race, and I was made to take part in the obstacle race without a break in between... How'd it come to this. It's depressing...
Tsukasa: That may be so, but didn't I say that you shouldn't sigh? Good grief, the white team's victory is hinging on us, you know.
Midori: No, there are still more events after this... Even if I end up getting last place in the obstacle race, everyone else can still make a comeback, right...?
Tsukasa: Takamine-kun, you seriously don't want to do this.
Midori: Nn~...... It's because I worked too hard on the bread-eating race...
I had to do events pertaining to clubs and my class, and, on top of that, I'm doing them without skipping out; I want to be complimented for that at this point...
Tsukasa: Hm. Seeing as how you're tired, a loud pep talk will have the opposite effect. Please leave the obstacle race to me. I shall splendidly take first place...☆
(Right as the Pistol rang out, everyone began to run. I'll follow them without missing a step!)
(First is crawling through the net. Hm, Sengoku-kun is leading, is he? I won't let him take first place by himself.)
(I'll become a towering wall that blocks his way!)
Shinobu: ~...♪
Wha-!? Something with a great speed is catching up to me, degozaru!?
H-how frightening. I feel as if I'm being chased by a persistent enemy on a mission that it will overcome even death to accomplish, degozaru.
My instincts are telling me that, if I don't run away with everything I've got, I'll be in some serious trouble, degozaru. I have to shake him off somehow, degozaru~!
Tsukasa: (Sengoku-kun is easily crossing the balance beam. Losing your Balance means that you have to redo from the beginning.)
(For that reason, though those who calm down and cross without getting flustered are the majority... Fufu, I can't underestimate him.)
(I've gotten excited. Could it be my feeling of having taken the high ground in this match? Or is it joy from having met a worthy opponent? It may even be both.)
(Thank you very much, Sengoku-kun. I won't lose. I'll definitely attain victory...!)
Shinobu: (Aaa~ll right, this is a good pace, degozaru. Next is the ping pong carrying race1, degozaru! ...Nn?)
(EEK!? He's caught up right behind me, degozaru~! And he's laughing creepily on top of that, degozaru!? Why~, I don't get him at all!)
(I just have to run! The goal is right in my sights, so if I stop, he'll pass me, degozaru. I'll have to make haste and rush through~!)
Tsukasa: (Grr, he's fast. What a remarkable Speed while carrying that Ping Pong. At this rate, the gap between us will widen even further!?)

(Oh no- ah-ah-ah. The Ping Pong was close to falling.)
(I'm irritated at the thought of his lead growing, but I can't rush. I have to be careful and advance.)
1- One of the sports festival's events. Carry a ping pong ball on a racket without letting it fall.
