Hokuto: (Phew.)

(For the time being, there are all kinds of uneasy worries too, but...)

(Here and now we've been steadily making progress with our practice runthrough, and at this rate [Starmine] could possibly be done perfectly.)

(Alongside "Knights", even beyond my expectation is that we're matching their pace.)

(I mean, with Sena-senpai's behavior somewhat odd, "Knights" has also been approaching our skill to the point where there doesn't seem to be any margin, huh.)

(During [DDD], I was absent during the match against "Knights" when it took place, so the others were anxious about following them...)

(Towards "Knights", on the other hand, I don't hold many ill feelings.)

(As comrades in the same school of Yumenosaki, they moved to cooperate with us. I'm thankful for that.)

(We can't let internal conflicts keep continuing, as that big stage by the name of [SS] is waiting for us.)

(Having won the final battle of [DDD], we were decided as Yumenosaki Academy's representative position.)

(But I don't believe our current ability is nearly enough. Boosted up by everyone else, we absolutely have to polish our abilities.)

(As Yumenosaki Academy's representatives, let's make it a dance that won't be shameful.)

(No, we'll definitely win. In the winning match that even Father would have missed the chance to control in [SS], I'll finally be able to puff my chest out with pride.)

(As an idol. Not as the son of my parents, but as myself. As Hidaka Hokuto.)

...Uhah!?

You surprised me. Anzu, don't unexpectedly appear from the back like that. You really have no presence.

It's fine. You and Kunugi-sensei are giving us support, and you're also cooperating with "Knights".

The responsibility of "Trickstar"'s leader is to complete things without delay.

Nn? You're giving me this shaved ice?

Thank you. It's hot, so something cold to have makes me happy.

But, let me tell you the rest.

You guys seem to be using the break time as an excuse to go stall-hopping... But rest properly, and don't waste your energy before the real performance.

When it becomes dusk, people I think will be visiting for the fireworks will be increasing.

It's a town that we don't know, so keep in mind not to get swallowed up by the crowd and get lost.

Makoto: Hidaka-ku~n! Anzu-cha~n! Look, look, in the bags where they put our photos, there was a flyer for cotton candy!

I bought it without thinking, but it's too much that I can't finish, so help me out here!

Hokuto: Yuuki. That's good, you look happy. After stall-hopping, your mood seems to have lifted.

We still have to return to the practice runthrough soon again, but one can really taste the festival atmosphere.

Makoto: During the real performance, I'll refrain from getting too excited that I don't mind my surroundings.

I want to lose focus even more, and fre~ely wander around the summer festival. This job is important, so I won't say anything more selfish.

Anzu-chan's not even wearing a yukata, and just regularly wearing a jersey.

Hokuto: Do you have any more complaints. You guys going "I want to watch the fireworks, I want to stall-hop around the festival~", is what I hear, time after time...

Anzu's being careful, having brought the job to us this time.

Rather, you guys should be grateful to her. It's summer vacation but all she's doing is accompanying us, but originally you should be respecting her to the point of not sleeping with feet towards her.1

Makoto: Aah, during the summer's lessons, we really did hear those kinds of words from you a lot.

I get it~, Anzu-chan's keeping us in mind. I'm grateful for that, so thank you.

Anzu-chan, she's always been fulfilling our requests...

Well, we're idols, so as a "Producer" it feels like she wants to respect our intentions, you know?

Eh, it's because you like us? I'm so happy~, I feel like Mr. Popular♪

...I get it. So from now on, to reward Anzu-chan's feelings, we absolutely have to do our best in this work, huh.

We'll let you see us definitely succeed in [Starmine].

Hokuto: That's the spirit, Yuuki. Do your best. I'll use all my power.

Makoto: Hidaka-kun's very serious, huh. Today, just like us you're going your way, but also regulating yourself, and properly resting. That's amazing~, I look up to you.

Hokuto: Doing what I want is my weak point. I guess I'm envious of you guys a bit.

Also, it seems that originally, [Starmine] was a "Knights"-only job.

If it were possible, as a set, to have another "unit" to participate then they'd be happy~ as the request.

"Knights", as they're generally independently working, didn't count on another "unit" to be called over, it looks like.

Then, Anzu requested "Trickstar" and sent in a letter of recommendation, such that this took shape.

To "Knights"' substitute leader Sena-senpai, she bowed her head to request it.

Using this opportunity, because she wanted to reconcile between "Knights" and "Trickstar" this deep-seated destiny, it looks.

Makoto: That's how it is. Izumi-san must've hated that~, because that guy can't really cooperate with others.

Squeaky clean with "Knights", but doing activities with other "units" is to the point where it's odd.

Hokuto: Is that true? There are kinder senpais when compared to them, but especially for Yuuki is he friendly to the point where it's almost unbearable is the impression I get...

It feels like the "Knights" of the past were more exclusive.

Makoto: Exclusively, isn't it, I don't really like the sound of an opponent trying to catch up with my inside life. Izumi-san's the kind of person who works with double the effort, and his diligence makes his ideals have high standard.

But he didn't seem like the person to really be friends~ with everyone else. As if trying to make an enemy out of whoever spoke, he'd misunderstand the meaning.

Hokuto: To misunderstand, I should say, I'd thought usually when one said something dislikable to another and be told so, they'd feel uncomfortable...

Yuuki, you're toughing it out well. Are you all right? Pushing yourself too hard?

Makoto: I'm all right~. As a sacrifice, I'll dedicate myself to working for Izumi-san, so that [Starmine] will work out well...

If it's to be of use to everyone in "Trickstar", I'll tough it out.

Hokuto: Whaddya mean.2

Makoto: Eh, why are you making a comeback? But, I'm not joking around right now!?3

1-A Japanese proverb that means to respect: 足を向けて寝られない. Basically, that you can't sleep with feet/legs facing towards a person, the person being the recipient of your respect.

2-What Hokuto says here is なんでやねん, which is a common "comeback/tsukkomi" for a person who usually makes the rational quips in a Japanese comedy routine (manzai).

3-Following up with the manzai act is that usually a tsukkomi is said in response to something that the "boke" (idiot character) says or does. Makoto basically says "Why are you 'tsukkomi-ing' even though I'm not being a 'boke' right now!?" and it likely serves to highlight that what Makoto's saying (e.g. thinking of sacrificing himself) is something stupid to say to Hokuto.
