Chapter 7 – A Promise for the Future

Iku: Shun-san’s silver hair, You’s red hair, Haru-san’s hair that looks like fresh green leaves, and Arata-san’s black hair, too. Right?

Typically, Gokuzoku are a species that rule over the dominion of nighttime. But even during the day, underneath the sunlight, you’re all still incredibly strong. And you shine.

 

Kakeru: If you’re going so far as to say that, I could reverse it right back to you Jinzoku. We don’t have pitch-black nights anymore, but even on the dark nights, when the moon isn’t out, anyone with enough resolve is sure to be perfectly strong, too.

 

Koi: Kakeru. I... Do you think I’ve gotten stronger?

 

Kakeru: Hmm... ...Compared to before, I guess so?

 

Koi: So harsh on your grading~!

 

Kakeru: *giggles*

 

Rui: That just means you have room to keep growing, Koi.
